Researchers at Harvard have discovered that a constituent found on red grape skin has anti-aging properties that stimulate the production of a protein that protects the body from aging-related illnesses.

Improve memory

Resveratrol can also help in boosting short-term memory. After a 30 minute test, the researchers found that those who received resveratrol supplements had a significant increase in the ability to remember a few words and faster brain performance responsive to emotion, the formation of new memories, and learning.

It reduces the risk of heart disease

A study conducted in 2007 has suggested that some ingredients found in red grapes help promote cardiovascular health. Wines produced in the South West of France and Sardinia, where people have the highest life expectancy, have in their composition larger quantities of this ingredient. A study conducted in Iceland has revealed that moderate red wine drinkers have 32% less chance of cataracts than those who do not consume wine.

It reduces the risk of cancer

According to the University of Virginia, a protein found in grape skin can kill cancer cells. Resveratrol can kill these cells by blocking the development of the protein that feeds them.

Improves dental health

Antioxidants found in red wine slow down the development of bacteria in the mouth and likewise cavities, reports Anabel.

Lower cholesterol levels

Fiber-rich varieties may lower blood cholesterol levels. Healthy participants in a study were given grape supplements found in red wine. They saw a 9% reduction in "bad" cholesterol that blocks the arteries. Participants with high cholesterol levels had a 12% drop.

Helps prevent colds

Thanks to the antioxidants found in red wine, those who drink nearly 14 glasses of red wine a week have 40% less chance of cooling

15. THAILAND

Thailand is very similar to Malaysia in terms of everyday living costs, but Thailand does prove to be that bit more expensive (unless you’re drinking, then Thailand will probably be cheaper). 14. MALAYSIA

A lot of people seem to have a misconception about Malaysia that it is not very affordable. Admittedly, it’s not as affordable as Cambodia or Vietnam, but it is still a very cheap country. I’ve talked to many travel bloggers and backpackers about this and we all agree it is possible to get by on $30 a day. The only downside is they have the highest alcohol tax in the world. Basically if you’re planning on partying every night, you may want to reconsider your budget.

The Machu Picchu ruins are enough for me to want to visit Peru, but as a bonus, it’s also an incredibly affordable country. It’s a must see for most travelers heading to South America. Besides Machu Picchu, there are many Andrean Highland towns that are fascinating to explore. You can find meals for $5 and accommodation for $8 in some places! All in all, $20-$25 a day is quite a reasonable budget.

Nepal is still rebuilding from the earthquake that happened in 2015, but there is a lot the country has to offer. Plus, if you’re on a budget, like most places on this list you can get by on $20 a day. A friend of mine actually returned from Nepal a few months ago and I was shocked to hear she lived on $300 for a month! Here’s a great breakdown of all the costs you might encounter in Nepal.

I believe India should be on everyone’s bucket list. It may be a culture shock but there is SO much beauty in the country. Much of your travel budget here will depend on where you go and your travel style, as well as how much shopping you want to do. On average, most backpackers go by around $20 a day.

If you stay at accommodation with air condition and party many nights, the cost of traveling in Indonesia might hover from $25 – $30 per day. But if you’re on a budget, you can get by on $15 per day. Apart from the most popular Bali, there are a lot of othergorgeous islands to take note of, including Lombok and the Gili islands.

9. THE PHILIPPINES

Perfect beaches, friendly locals and beautiful nature. Similar to many other countries in Southeast Asia, the price of living is ridiculously cheap. Coffee is 11 cents, a meal is $2.50 and hostels can work out to be $9 per person. Also, it’s home to Palawan, which I think should be reason enough to visit!

With the value of Venezuela’s currency quickly collapsing, Vanezuela was voted thecheapest country in the world back in 2014. Prices have dropped from $12 a night to $5 a night, a meal at a decent restaurant costs around $3, and that’s with a beer and tips included. And the best part? Domestic flights around the country range from $7- $20, making it easy to travel around.

7. EGYPT

Ever fancy seeing the pyramids? Well, you might be in luck because according to this comprehensive travel guide, it’s on average $22 a day to travel Egypt. Vegetarian meals can be eaten for less than $1 per meal and beds can be bought for around $4 a night.

6. BOLIVIA

Bolivia is a country in central South America, with a varied terrain spanning Andes mountains, the Atacama Desert and Amazon Basin rainforest. It’s also home to the worlds largest salt lake flats. The cost of eating out, sleeping at a budget hotel, and going for a night out in the town is all very affordable. You can score a night at the famous salt hotel for $25 a night, or a budget hotel for $8 a night.

5. PARAGUAY

Paraguary seems to be a little-visited and little-known country that is too often passed over by travelers. Many people assume the lack of attractions means there’s nothing to see, but it’s ideal for those keen to experience a truly authentic South American experience. Street food can be bought for $2 and a meal at restaurants around $3-$5. A budget traveler will get by on $15 a day (extreme budget travelers even less!) but if you’re looking to stay a while, there’s one bedroom apartments for rent around $200 a month in Asuncion. That’s only $6 a day (!!).

4. LAOS

Laos is a Southeast Asian country traversed by the Mekong River and known for its mountainous terrain, French colonial architecture, hill tribe settlements and Buddhist monasteries. It’s easy to find rooms for $5 – $8 a night and even cheaper if you’re sharing.

3. VIETNAM

Despite its rise in popularity in the last few years, Vietnam is still super cheap, as well as a beautiful country. I’ve had lots of friends who have backpacked through Vietnam and lived on just $20 a day (yes, including food, transport AND accommodation). Keep in mind accommodation is cheaper in the north but more expensive in the south.

2. CAMBODIA

With beds as little as £1 a night and a meal even cheaper, it’s no surprise Cambodia has made its way onto every backpackers radar. Even for luxury travel, it’s easy to find 5-star villas for a quarter of the price you would normally. The country is lush with lovely beaches and home to the Angkor Wat temple. Oh, and alcohol is as little as 25 cents. I’m down, anyone else?

Malawi has been dubbed “The Warm Heart of Africa” and is a landlocked country in the southeast region. To give you some idea of how cheap this country is, the average monthly salary is about $27. Roughly 0.72 cents – $1 a day. It’s hard to wrap my head around in all honesty. You can easily find meals for $1 and live off merely $10 a day. A backpackers paradise. It’s bordered byb Zambia, Tanzania and Mozambique so it’s an easy base to start exploring other countries in Africa with similar budgets.

Last month, Samsung took the wraps off the Galaxy J5 (2017).

The company has now already revealed an upgraded version of the smartphone, called the Galaxy J5 Pro, which made its debut today in Thailand. Whereas the Galaxy J5 features 2 GB or RAM and 16 GB of storage, the Pro variant has 3 GB of RAM and 32 GB of space. All other specs remain the same.

This means that the smartphone sports a 5.2-inch Super AMOLED display with HD resolution and is powered by the Exynos 7870 chipset. It comes equipped with two 13 MP cameras (front and rear), both of which have LED flash. The smartphone is made of metal, supports expandable storage (up to 256 GB), and packs a 3,000 mAh battery.

Other things worth mentioning are the fingerprint scanner located on the front, dual-SIM support, and Android 7.0 Nougat with the company’s custom skin on top. In terms of design, Samsung’s latest smartphone is quite similar to a lot of other Galaxy devices, which can either be a good or a bad thing depending on whom you ask.

In Thailand, the Samsung Galaxy J5 Pro is available for THB 9,990, which is around $295. No word on when or if it will make it to other markets across the globe.

Skrapari mund të quhet edhe rrethi i kanioneve madhështore. Në të gjenden dy kanione të mëdha, të dy monumente natyre, midis tyre kanioni i Osumit, më i madhi në gjithë Shqipërinë, që me të drejtë është quajtur "Koloradoja e Shqipërisë". Ai gjendet në sektorin Çorovodë – Hambull të luginës së Osumit, është rreth 13 km i gjatë, nga 4 deri në 35 m i gjerë, i thellë deri në 70-80 m, me shpate vertikale, përfund të cilëve rrjedh "lozonjar" Osumi, duke u "mburrur" me krijesën e vetë. Janë pikërisht ujërat e tij, që me forcën e tyre gërryerrëse dhe tretëse, kanë depërtuar ashtu ngadalë, por pa ndërprerje, në masën shkëmbore gëlqerore të strukturës antiklinale të Çorovodës, duke formuar kanionin me bukuri mbresëlënëse. Kur udhëton në brendësi të tij mahnitesh nga bukuria befasuese, por edhe nga disa përshtypje të çuditshme dhe të pabesueshme që të krijohen: coprat e qiellit së bashku me pjesë të mureve vertikale të gëlqerorëve gri dhe të bimësisë të blertë pasqyrohen në pellgjet e shumta të lumit, duke krijuar kështu një përzjerje ngjyrash dhe formash të përmbysura, që me fluiditetin e tyre të hutojnë, të çorientojnë dhe të zhytin në një botë krejt tjetër, ireale, por që të ngjallin ndjesi të ëmbla, nga të cilat nuk ke dëshirë të dalësh. Kjo nuk është e vetmia mrekulli e këtij kanioni: në disa sektorë të tij shfaqen ujëvara të mëdha me bukuri befasuese, sidomos në ditët me diell, rrezet e të cilit zbërthehen nga piklat e ujit, duke formuar ylbere, që fillojnë nga qielli, vazhdojnë në shpatet e kanionit, nga ku pasqyrohen në pellgjet e ujit dhe në shtratin e lumit. Në këto raste e ke të vështirë të vendosësh kufirin midis tokës dhe qiellit, të shaqen ndjesi të tjera edhe më të fuqishme, që të ndjekin nga pas edhe kur del prej kanionit, madje edhe kur je larg tij, ato të ftojnë të kthehesh dhe ta vizitosh përsëri atë.

Në muret vertikale të kanionit ka mjaft guva e zgavërime të formuara nga proceset e karstit. Midis tyre dallohet "Vrima e nuses", që ndodhet 800 m në afërsi të fshatit të Bigazit dhe që është një zgavër apo ndoshta një shpellë karstike në formën e një galerie me gjatësi 7 – 8 m dhe diametër rreth 2 m. Me siguri në muret vertikale gëlqerore ka edhe shpella të tjera shumë më të mëdha, të cilat presin eksploratorët për t’i zbuluar dhe evidentuar vlerat e tyre të shumta. Ka qenë pikërisht bukuria e veçantë dhe forma interesante e këtij kanioni që rreth tij të dilnin edhe legjenda, të cilat kanë udhëtuar gojë më gojë deri në ditën e sotme. Midis tyre tregohet legjenda e nuses dhe ajo e gjurmës të shenjtit Abaz Aliu. Legjenda e lidh shpellën e "Vrimës së Nuses", të përmëndur më lart, me fatin e një nuseje që po martohej pa dëshirën e saj, por që ishte e detyruar të zbatonte zakonin e vjetër. Krushqit po ktheheshin me nusen që kishin marrë në një fshat tjetër, kur arritën këtu nusja u thotë atyre se "po e çonin tek burri pa dëshirën e saj", por krushqit nuk i dhanë përgjigje. Ndaj ajo e mendoi vet planin e ikjes. Duke iu lutur zotit, i drejtohet shkëmbit të kanionit: "Hapu, o shkëmb që të shpëtoj nga sikleti që më ka zënë". Dhe shkëmbi e dëgjoi, menjëherë hapi një vrimë, zgavër. Nusja u hodh nga kali dhe u fsheh në këtë vrimë. Krushqit u kthyen në fshat pa të. Më vonë kjo vrimë nisi të vizitohej nga nuse të reja që kërkonin të bëheshin me fëmijë. Legjenda e dytë lidhet me format e çuditshme të krijuara nga karsti (tretja) e gëlqerorëve në ujë. Këto forma janë të ngjashme me gjurmën e një kali dhe të një shkopi. Ato gjenden pranë fshatit Dhores, rreth 5 km larg qytetit të Çorovodës. Legjenda i cilëson ato si gjurmët e shenjtit Abaz Aliu, i cili erdhi në Tomor nga Qerbelaja, hipur mbi kalin e tij të bardhë. Ai fluturoi dhe e la gjurmën e tij në dërrasën e Kajcës, nga ku përsëri fluturoi në malin e Tomorit. Besimtarët bektashianë për të qetësuar shpirtin, kërkojnë ndihmën e gjurmës së shenjtit Abaz Aliu.

Sapo kalon qytetin e Çorovodës dhe merr sipër rrjedhën e lumit, papritmas te shfaqet pamja e mrekullueshme e Kanionit te Osumit. Ky kanion ende i panjohur mire për shkak te mungesës se publicitetit, është një nga perlat e natyrës shqiptare dhe një vend gati tërësisht i virgjër për tu eksploruar nga turistet si vendas ashtu dhe te huaj. Kanioni nis ne vendin e quajtur Hambull afro 18 kilometra nga qyteti i Çorovodës, pëson një ndërprerje pasi kalon fshatin Lapan, për shkak se shtrati i lumit zgjerohet në vendin e quajtur "Mulliri i Babait" dhe prej aty deri ne Vaun e Grepckes, gati dy kilometra larg qytetit të Çorovodës kanioni shfaqet madhështor dhe të ofron pamje me të vërtete te mrekullueshme e te papërsëritshme. Por pjesa me e bukur e tij shtrihet nga fshati Blezencke deri në fundin e fshatit Çerenisht.

Lumi Osum formohet nga përrenjtë e shumte që rrjedhin nga shpatet e Vithkuqit në malësinë e Korçës dhe dhe shpatet perëndimore te Gramozit në rrethin e Kolonjës. Gjatë rrjedhës se tij neper Skrapar, Osumi bashkohet me disa dege të tjerë te tij dhe formën e vërtete e merr në hyrje te qytetit të Beratit. Osumi pasi bashkohet me Devollin në afërsi të Urës se Kuçit formojnë Semanin. Gjatësia e Osumit është 161 kilometra, por pjesa me e bukur e tij është padyshim kanioni që ndodhet në rrethin e Skraparit. Kanioni i Osumit është më i gjati dhe ka lartësinë mesatare më të madhe në vend. Në fundin e tij, në Vaun e Grepckes, Osumi krijon një delte te bukur që shfrytëzohet nga banoret e Çorovodës dhe fshatrave përreth për të pushuar dhe bere plazh gjate stinës se verës. Në thellësi të tij, kanioni krijon gjashte ngushtica, në të cilat lumi mund te kalohet vetëm me not pasi kanioni është shumë i ngushtë. Shpatet e kanionit bien thike me shtratin e lumit nga një lartësi prej 80 deri 100 metra dhe krijojnë një pamje fantastike. Kanioni ka një gjatësi prej 11 kilometrash në pjesën e tij te pandërprere, nga Vau i Grepckes deri në dalje të fshatit Blezencke. Kjo pjesë e kanionit shfrytëzohet nga banoret e zonës për të peshkuar disa lloje peshqish që rriten në lum si dhe për të gjuajtur guake (pëllumba të egër). Por në këtë pjese të kanionit mund të ndeshesh edhe shpend grabitqare si një lloj shqiponje që rritet në këtë zone apo skifterë. Në të dyja anët e luginës ku ndodhet kanioni shtrihen disa fshatra, të shquar sidomos për prodhimin e rakisë me nam të Skraparit. Bimësia përbehet nga shkurre mesdhetare dhe menjëherë pas tyre nisin pyjet me dushk.

Kanioni i Osumit ka qene thuajse i pashfrytëzuar për qëllime turistike deri në fillimin e viteve '90. Por qysh nga ajo kohe kanionin kane nisur ta vizitojnë turiste të huaj kryesisht italiane dhe franceze, të cilit e kanë kthyer në një rit të përvitshëm. Ata janë kryesisht të dhëne pas vozitjes me kanoe e kajak. Në kater-pese vitet e fundit numri i vizitoreve që shijojnë pamjet e mrekullueshme të kanionit është rritur ndjeshëm si të atyre vendas ashtu dhe turisteve të huaj. Kanioni mund te vizitohet në dy mënyra, nëpërmjet shtratit të lumit me kanoe, kajak apo gomone, ose në rruge tokësore me automjet apo në këmbe. Lundrimi mund të bëhet në çdo stine të vitit pasi lumi nuk është shumë i rrëmbyeshëm, por zakonisht amatoret e këtij sporti preferojnë periudhën nga pranvera deri në fundin e vjeshtës. Lundrimi rafting, kajaking dhe kanotazhi mund të bëhet duke i pasur vete këto mjete, në të kundërt një shërbim i tillë të ofrohet nga shoqata sportive e liçensuar për sportin rafting në Shqipëri Albania Rafting Group, në qytetin e Beratit, e cila nëpërmjet partnerëve të saj lokalë ofron veç të tjerash dhe hotel, kuzhine tradicionale të zonës si dhe një guide rafting nëpër kanion. Paketa bazë nga Berati deri në pjesën e sipërme të kanionit dhe rafting deri në urën e Corovodës, të ofrohet për 6 mije leke të reja. Ndërsa nga toka kanioni mund të vizitohet në çdo kohe dhe me shumë pak shpenzime. Kanioni është krejtësisht një vepër e natyrës.

Rruga automobilistike që lidh qytetin e Çorovodës me skajin e sipërm të kanionit të quajtur Hambull kalon thuajse ngjitur me bregun e kanionit. Ky aks rrugor nuk është i asfaltuar por mund të përshkohet me fuoristrade apo autoveture. Nga Çorovoda deri në Hambull mund të shkosh me linje furgoni që e përshkon këtë distance dy herë në ditë, në mëngjes, nisja në orën 7.00 dhe pasdite në orën 16.00. Gjate vizitës neper kanionin e Osumit mund të shijosh edhe pamjen përrallore të disa ujëvarave, të cilat bien në lume nga një lartësi e madhe, si ne Çerenisht, Zogas, Kalanjas, Dhores, Pigas e Blezencke. Gjatë kanionit mund të ndeshesh dhe disa shpella interesante. Një pamje të rralle të kanionit mund ta shijosh dhe nga e vetmja ure që ndodhet në te, në afërsi të fshatit Blezencke. Pikërisht aty është vendi me i ngushte i kanionit dhe arrihet lartësia me e madhe nga shtrati i lumit. Në afërsi të fshatit Dhores mund të vizitosh dhe vendin e shenjte për besimtaret bektashian te zonës, pasi sipas legjendës aty gjendet "Gjurma e Imam Aliut". Ky vend i shenjte ndodhet në pjesën e sipërme të kanionit, ku në masivin shkëmbor, në të dyja anët e lumit, dallohen qarte gjurma e një njeriu, e një kali dhe gjurma e një bastuni. Sipas legjendës Imam Aliu e ka kaluar kanionin me një kërcim të kalit të tij. Si gjatë vozitjes neper lum ashtu dhe nëse ecën me këmbe ndesh burime me ujë të ftohtë, por nuk ka lokale, kështu që duhet të marrësh me vete edhe pak ushqim apo pije të ndryshme. Hotelet me te afërta me kanionin ndodhen në qytetin e Çorovodës. Çmimet ne to janë shumë të arsyeshme. Në restorantet e qytetit të ofrohet gatimi tradicional i zonës, mishi ne hell i shoqëruar me disa produkte bulmeti si dhe me rakinë me nam të Skraparit. Kanioni mund të përshkohet për afro treçerek ore me makine, tre ore në këmbe dhe pak me shumë se dy ore me kanoe apo kajak.
